Beach Lovers Alone

Brighton Beach © Stewart Weir 2006

Taken in Brighton as part of a long term photo essay about lovers on the beach. It was a very stormy day and the couple were alone and oblivious to me, lost in their own world on their own beach. The image came out exactly as I wanted it to.. like a scene from a 50′s movie. I love the the way you cannot plan or have any idea what images will come to you. Instinct and walking long distances is the only way the image will arrive into the camera.
